Thanksgiving 2010

We have so much to be thankful for. Everyday Jeramie and I ask each other how could we be so blessed. We try so hard not to take a single thing or moment for ganteed. This Thanksgiving I felt exceptionally thankful. Jeramie and I have been given such an amazing oppertunity here in Brazil. We are really enjoying our time here so far and the kids are more than comfortable in thier new environment.
I was expecting to be very homesick starting at Thanksgiving and into the holiday season. Suprisingly, since Thanksgiving is not celebrated here I only thought about it when I read comments on facebook. It truely was almost just another day. The warm weather also makes it not seem like the holidays at all.
Thanskgiving day all the Brasdril wives prepared traditional Thanksgiving dishes. We had an amazing potluck dinner to remind us of home. Of course we missed spending the day with family and the wonderful dinner my mother magically prepares every year but I guess this is when new traditions begin.
